Old Colorado City History Centerlocated in the heart of Old Colorado City
The Old Colorado City History Center is a free-admission museum dedicated to the unique frontier and gold rush history of the original Colorado City.  It is at 1 South 24th Street, Colorado Springs, right across from Bancroft Park, half block from the Shopping District. Open 11AM to 4PM, Tuesdays through Saturday. It also has a History Book Store, Research Library, and free lectures and activities year round.

Old Colorado City Carnegie Library

Library roots run deep on the Westside: the first library in Colorado City was established in 1895. In December 1904 – with a $10,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie – the Colorado City Library opened its doors to the public. The Colorado Springs Evening Telegraph newspaper called it the “Pride of Colorado City.”

The Garden of the Gods Park, a Registered National Natural Landmark in Colorado Springs, is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the summer and 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the winter. The Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pikes Peak Performing Arts Center

Since its opening in 1982, the Pikes Peak Center has achieved international acclaim for its design and acoustical qualities. Artists and critics alike have been lavish in their praise of the Center. The Center hosts 200 performances yearly. 

Cog Railway

The Pikes Peak Cog Railway is 8.9 miles long. The round trip lasts 3 hours and 10 minutes. (See Rates/Reservations for departure dates and times). The first third of our trip is along Ruxton Creek in Englemann Canyon.

The U.S. Olympic Complex in Colorado Springs is the headquarters for the U.S. Olympic Committee administration and the Olympic Training Center programs.
